God's will, what is it? What do we do with it? God's will is very real, but there are many misconceptions about it. Bible says we should honor God's will, serve God's will, follow God's will, but the Bible never says we have to be happy about God's will. Many people think God's will is something that will make us all happy, and that's simply not true. The Bible itself has many stories where God's will didn't result in happy times.
Also, God makes it very clear He gave us all free will, to choose for ourselves between right and wrong, so this means we are not bound by God's will, however if we choose to not follow God's will we have to take the consequences that follow, good or bad.
In the Bible, God allowed the devil to torture Job as long as he didn't harm Job himself, the devil took everything from Job, he killed his family, destroyed his house, destroyed all his worldly possessions, in an attempt to have Job denounce God. In the end Job never denounced God, and God blessed him and gave him everything back ten fold. Was this all God's will? Was it God's will for Job's family to die as a test? Most likely it was, and in this case God's will caused great pain for Job, but in the end he was rewarded.
There are so many similar situations, Jonah's story, Daniel's story with the lions, King David's story and downfall, Solomon's story and downfall, even Paul who was once Saul and murdered Christains before being saved. My point is this God's will is many things, and we should respect it, but respecting and liking are two different things.
Most people shun God's will at first, we don't realize a person or thing is God's will because we don't think it is what we want or need ourselves. But God is persistent and keep putting them in front of you until you realize things. God knows what we need better than we do, when I first met the woman I love, I didn't think she was for me because I had my own expectations of what I thought I needed and wanted, but the more I knew her, the more God made her a part of me, I realized she is God's will for me, and I realized God knows what I need and I know I see. So I still love her, and now she is my everything.
In the end, I trust in God to let it all play out between us. Allow her to go through what she must, through who she has too, and the same for me, until we come together in His name. I believe it's His will for us, and I trust in Him.
God's knows best, good or bad, He knows what to do, but in the end we always have a choice in life.
