You know, I always just shake my head when I hear "Don't let her know you love her", or "Don't build her too much", because that makes no sense with me. The perception is if a man admits he loves you or needs you, that the man is weak. Our world is so backwards sometimes, only an insecure man in himself thinks like that. Some men have to have that sense of control over those they love, not me though. And let me tell you why?
It takes great confidence and courage to face your feelings, and tell the one you love that you love them. It takes great humility to admit you aren't whole without the one you love. There is no shame in needing the one you love. A secure man doesn't have to build his ego on the backs of other people, no, a secure man let's the world know who he is and is ok with it no matter what the world thinks. A secure man trusts his love to make the right decisions, and respects her enough to trust her decisions and to be honest with her. This is how I roll.
Call me emotional, that's fine, call me stubborn, ok, call me passive, whatever, bottom line is I'm confident in who I am, and not ashamed of what I'm about or who I love. I will stand to anyone's face and fight for what I love and believe in, I just choose wisely.
Women sometimes get the wrong impression of a guy not afraid to reveal heart, they call them soft or needy, but in reality they are stronger than you know and more self sufficient than many. We don't get good jobs because we're weak or dependent, we don't put ourselves in good positions because we're needy, think about it, we're successful for a reason. We don't hide who we are, and for better or worse we do what we need to do.

You truly never know what will succeed in life until you give it a fair chance, so many "what ifs" in life, but the thing is they're only "what ifs" unless they actually take place. Don't psyche yourself out and destroy something before it ever has the chance to become everything, learn to take a chance on yourself and love for the right reasons.
